1. Description

The Leitz BOOWU system was designed to copy flat documents in A4, A5 or A6 sizes.

The kit is made of :

• 3 extension rings, one for each reproduction ratio (A4, A5, A6).
• 4 telescopic legs that screw on the extension rings. These legs support the camera, maintain the correct distance between subject and lens and delimit the copied area.

The BOOWU was made in at least two models :

• Screw mount (39x1.0mm) on both camera and lens sides. It received the catalog number 16525. I shall call it BOOWU-39.

• M mount on the camera side and a special bayonet mount on the lens side. This one got the code 16 526, I shall call it BOOWU-M.
